I'm thinking of buy a refurb 27" i7 but I'm worried about what the deal is with returns. What If I get one that has a huge scratch on the back or something, can I still return it seeing as they do say there might be some cosmetic damage?

Or if the yellow screen issue is still in play, can I return a refurb with no problems?

Also, how do return work? I live nearly 80miles from the nearest Apple store, so would I send it to Apple or would they pick it up?

First off I have never received any item from apple's refurb section that has any damage on it...Most items get a new outer shell and the internals are what is actually considered "refurbished". Secondly I did order a 27 inch iMac that had a screen yellowing problem and not only did they email me a fedex label to return it at their cost, but the rep gave me a 100$ promo code (up to 100$ depending on the cost of your purchase) for the next time I decided to shop at apple.com.

FYI any purchases made from apple.com IE: online.... must be returned to the online store. You can take it to an apple store for repairs or diagnosis, but if you want an exchange and or refund... you have to ship it back.

Thanks man, that makes me feel better.
