I'm not really interested in the i5s in the upcoming MacBook Airs. If I bought a 13" with 4 GB RAM and a 128 GB HDD, would I get a slight refund when the new ones come out. I remember Apple did that for iPhones.

Probably, but I'd wait until tomorrow just to see the pricing difference.

The price will drop in the clearance and refurbished sections of Apple.com as soon as the new ones are released.

I wouldn't risk buying one now and being hopeful for a discount. You may save $300 if you wait. In addition, when you special-order it's not returnable for something different. You would need to special order or buy refurbished to get the 4GB RAM you want. I recommend refurbished as it is brand new anyways with a brand new case and warranty even if it was returned. For I think around $1189 you can get that model now refurbished but I bet a $150 to $200 price drop hits with the new model.

Just wait.
