Hello you all, I am an college student who uses the laptop basically to:

-Web browsing
-Youtube/Netflix
-College classes and assignments
-League of legends
-Discord

So that is basically all I use it for, but I can not bring myself to decide which MacBook to get currently (even considering Apple certified refurbished options).

Could you guys help me out ? I don't want to overspend money, but also don't want to regret getting not enough specs.

I would recommend either the base 13" or 15" MacBook Air for your use case.

From the Apple Education Store, the 13" M1 MacBook Air starts at $899 and the 15" M2 MacBook Air starts at $1,199.

Both of these models could be had for much less at other retailers, especially during the upcoming holiday season.

The base config of 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage should be fine, but you could upgrade to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage if you feel like your use case may expand in the future.

The M1 MacBook Air goes on sale at Amazon or B&H or Best Buy, now and then, for as low as $799, and maybe less. But you have to buy whatever configuration they have on hand and you might want to customize and thus have to order through Apple.

Also, for a laptop I'd definitely get AppleCare. I did many years ago and it saved me while I was in Japan and needed a HD replaced.

Go for a MacBook Air base model. Only decision should be whether to go for 13" or 15". That is a personal preference.

Have a 15" Air. Love it
