Hi there,
Anybody buy an SR MBP from Amazon? As you can't customize, did you get what you wanted. I'm about to make a purchase there and wanted to check here first.
Thanks and hopefully I won't have to post back here too often, except to say how much I like my MBP and it's perfect!!!
John

I got the stock MBP from a retailer, which is the same as you will get.

You'll get your 1 year AppleCare aswell, so don't see why not.

I'd rather get it from a retailer and be fussy and ask to see the MBP working to make sure I didn't get a yellow tinted screen (which is quite rare to be honest).

One thing about Amazon - they only sell the matte MBPs. If you want a glossy screen MBP, you have to get it elsewhere.

I ended up getting my MBP from Mac Connection - no tax, $150 rebate, and glossy screen option to boot. ;)

I bought my new SR MBP from Amazon. No problems whatsoever. I even got a trial to Amazon Prime, so I got overnight shipping for $1.99! It was well worth not paying the 8.25% sales tax that I would've been stuck doing if I had bought it from the local Apple store.

The positive about purchasing from Amazon is they have a 30 day return policy if there is anything wrong with the computer. Certain on-line stores (Mac Mall for one) will not accept returns and you need to deal with Apple directly if there is something wrong with your computer. Even if there is nothing wrong with the computer there is a restocking fee. I was going to purchase from Mac Mall, however, I didn't like the idea of being stuck with a machine that was defective from the start.
