Hi, I was thinking about buying the following iMac 2017 (not a Pro) for $2000, what do you think? I need it for data analysis, simulations etc. (again, I am NOT considering an iMac Pro - I don't know why this post was tagged that way. Sorry, it's my first post!)

* 3.4 GHz Intel Core i5 Quad-Core
* 8GB of DDR4 RAM | 512GB SSD
* 27" 5120 x 2880 IPS Retina 5K Display
* AMD Radeon Pro 570 Graphics Card (4GB)

Plan to update the RAM after buying.
I am going for 3.4 GHz / 570 Radeon because I have read that higher specs have issues with noise / overheating. Please let me know what you think!

You can get the 2019 3.0GHz 6-core i5/8GB/512GB SSD/Radeon 570X directly from the Apple Store for $2099, so $2000 for a 2017 with 4 cores is a terrible deal. Good luck!
