Correction, 30 min battery life difference between X vs the XS and 90 mins more battery life for the XS Max vs X.
90 minutes is an hour and a half. The XS Max and the XR have the best battery life in iPhone history.
Also the X was not a beta test, LOL. It was the template all other iphones will follow for some time.
It was indeed a beta best, just like the iPhone 6 was the beta test for the 6S.
Apple discontinued the X because they couldn’t sell it for less Or it would have cannibalized the XR sales When the XS could takes it’s place.
I don't think so. No reason to buy an X now that the XS is out. Even if Apple were still selling it, say for 899, you would actually get less value. The new models are absolute monsters.

You’ve been posting the same damn comment in multiple thread and parts of it are not true or misleading:
- The iPhone X was not a beta test; rather, it was a final product released by Apple that sold very well and has the highest customer satisfaction rating of any phone. Perhaps you are hurt you missed out on a year’s worth of awesomemess for the barely upgraded Xs.
- The specs you list are for the Max, which is a new category this year. The direct comparison should be with the 5.8 Xs, which does not have the same battery, nor a 6.5 screen.
- The camera is not “brand new”; it’s been upgraded in one way only (pixel size); the rest of the camera is actually the same.
- The bezels are not thinner.
Stop trolling.
1. The iPhone X was a beta test in the same sense the iPhone 6 was basically a beta test for the 6S. First gen tech is much more likely to have issues. However I wouldn't normally call it one, I only call it a beta test in response to the people who bash the XS. And no, the X actually undersold. Tim even admitted it with his quote about "its like the superbowl, maybe your team didnt do as well as you liked but its still a winner".
2. The XS is not "barely upgraded". It's one of the most significant updates in iPhone history. With the 7nm we're seeing 30% higher CPU performance (15% that is 30% in practice because the A11 runs hot and throttles itself, 7nm tech uses less power and doesn't have to throttle as much) and double (!!) the GPU performance. Add to that noticeably better battery life, noticeably better camera, faster FaceID, dual sim, better water proofing, new modem technology, and 6.5 inch version of the new design. The XS is superior to the X in every way (even battery life) except for the screen size.
3. The sensor is the most important part of the camera, and essentially "is" the camera in that it's the part that determines the picture. The pixel size is now something like 30-40% larger to match the Pixel 2, which notably took much better photos than the X.
None of this means that the X is a bad phone, but I'm noticing a large amount of X owners attacking the XS this year as a way to increase the perceived longevity of their investment, perhaps because they're upset that they're not top of the line anymore.
