HI , i need a little help here :p
actually i used to own 2.00 Ghz MBP the first revision, and been happy with that lappie :p until one of my friend want to buy it hehehe :p
cause there's no 2.00Ghz MBP with 256MB Ati Radeon in stock anymore, so i sold mine to him and he has been very happy sine then :p

And also the reason i want sold it because i thought thta leopard will come out as soon as Vista which is early 2007, and also i have another windows lappie Fujitsu P7010 a 10.6" lappie to work with to work with while i'm waiting for the new MBP or something that comes with leopard installed.

but i was wrong :(
now i can't live with windows anymore since i've tried Mac OSx :(
windows just doesn't "feel" as nice to me as the OSX

now i think i want to buy a lower end macbook first for time being because i'm afraid that the next MBP will be so much "different " than the current one ,
and because the Macbook is cheaper , so i'm gonne lose less when i sell it later :p

Anyway
i don't do gaming but i also curious wheter or not the macbook can run games lie NFS carbon or not :)

for what i know i'll be missing:
-Backlight keyboard.
-high resolution screen
-express card Slot
- hmmm , that's all , right ?

And design wise, i actually preffer Mac book over MBP but if only tha Mac book comes with 15,4" 1440x800 that will be awesome :p
hehheh :p

anyway
i go to my local apple shop, here in singapore.
and ask the price for a 1.83, C2D MB
and quoted US$ 1.999
but they also offered me the old
2.0Ghz MB (brand new of course but old stock) CD MB
at US$1.900

which one is the better buy ?
actually i don;t need the dvd writer or etc. and i don't care about RAM and HDD
as i have spare 1 GB RAM from my previuous MBP and also i have 160GB hdd as well

so the only think to chose is the proccesor.
1.83 C2D or the 2.0 CD

and how about the "old" MB problem like mooing , discoloration, rundom shut down, etc, will i get this if i buy the 2.0 CD MB ???

i'll using the Mac as my everyday lappiee, storing music, pic, videos, surfing , and such
i'll keep my window fujitsu laptop for work because my shop uses windows software , and also because it's small and have long battery life :p

heheh
please advice me which one to get .
it will be temporarry though untill the new model of MBP with leopard comes out thta i'll buy that MBP :p

THat;s whay the cheaper MB thta i'm gonna by will lose less dollar right :p heheh

thx.

I will take the 2.0 CD.

Damned good value right now.

Between the two machines...
1) 64 bits is not a huge difference, they both have integrated graphics, you aren't going to game much or do much of anything graphics intensive anyway. 2) that option for that third gb of ram on the C2D is going to cost almost as much as a CD Macbook, so it is pretty much moot.
3) Need a GPU? A refurbished 2.0ghz MBP only costs $150 more than a new C2D MB.
4) A DVD drive is actually useful as compared to the mythical 20% speed boast from the C2D. When you need to burn a DVD you are going to cuss and swear for choosing the C2D, but you are never going to say "Damned, I wish I have that extra 20% performance".
5) The difference is probably less than the supposed 20%, since the difference is between a 1.83ghz C2D vs a 2.0ghz CD. :)

Anyway if you are willing to buy refurb, a refurbished 2.0ghz CD machine is going to quite a bit less than a new 1.83ghz C2D. Damned good option worth exploring.

both the 1.83 c2D and 2.0 CD are brand New :p

that;s why i'm too leaning on the 2.0 cd
as it's the same proccesor as my old MBP
so iguess it wil fast enough for me :p

and the reason i dont want a refurb MBP is because i want to try te MB
and want to try wheteer 13,3" is enough for me or not :p
heheheh
thx
:p
