Buying my first Mac (15'' PB) tomorrow!

So I'm officially buying a 15'' PB tomorrow (my first mac! ) and I was wondering what kind of configurations do they have available at an Apple retail store? I'm probably looking to get 1gb ram and possibly the 7200rpm hard drive (any thoughts on the hard drive?). Will i just have to do BTO?

I'm in the same exact boat as you, as I am purchasing my first mac tommorow as well, the 15" pb too(I love educational discounts and untaxed purchases). You would have to do a bto to get the 7200rpm hd, and you're better off buying ram from another vendor for cheaper than what apple charges for.

They don't offer any custom configurations at the retail stores, unfortunately.

RAM is about the only thing a retail store can change for you.. Unless they have another configuration in stock..
