Hi Guys,

Finally I have decided to pull the trigger I am planning to pick up an AirPods Pro in a day or two Since I am heavily prejudiced listening to all the stories so far with the Active Noise Cancellation going from Fantastic to worse with the subsequent Firmware Updates. To mitigate this problem is there anything that I could do ?like for e.g. buying only a specific serial number or Manufacturing Date or Batch Number that can help me get the current best unit which has been corrected for this issues.

Please advise people.

Thanks in Advance !

I am pretty sure the update is pushed to your AirPods Pro regardless of when they were manufactured. It happens automatically in the background and without any interaction from you.

That is a good point you make. but I was thinking just how I do it while buying iPads if there are a lot of discussions and talks about any unwanted hues and tints on the iPad people start saying that we’ll, if you buy a iPad whose serial number starts with let’s say “DP” or whatever that would tend to have less tint and have even screen displays. I was thinking in the same way is there anything that I can do to mitigate this problem.

Aha!

I think you just solved it...

There are a bunch of threads in here talking about how when your APP develops a hardware issue - Usually the Rattlegate issue - when you get them replaced with a new set - the replacement set shows a serial number of '1' on your devices.

This is probably to avoid people following trends in certain serial number lines and connecting them to being faulty ?
