Hi, I'm going from ibook to pbook, and I just wanted to see if there was a better way of transferring my iTunes and iPhoto files and libraries besides just copying them manually and re-collecting my libraries?

If you've done it before, a step-by-step of what you did would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Slightly surprised no one has replied. Though this topic has been covered numerous times.

Firewire connect between the two machines. Connect machines through FW port. While the iBook is on go and startup the new machine (the powerbook) while holding T down. The PB will start immediately with a FW icon on the screen, and the iBook will then show the PB drive on its desktop. Go ahead and drag all your photos and music to the appropriate folders and boom. I just did this with my new iBook and my old G3, works just fine.

I think you're going a little hard on him. It's just likie smoking, no matter how bad you say it is, people will still do it. With seard function, no matter how many people say to use it, a lot of people never will.
