Buying process in AT&T store?

I was just curious how the buying process works in the AT&T store? I'm going to be buying an iPhone and unlocking it since I live in Canada and I was curious if I could just walk in and buy it like at the Apple Store.

Yep, they dont ask you about anything besides your money when buying an iphone.
If they want to help you with activation thru their laptop there just tell them you're a new customer and you'll activate the phone thru Itunes at home later.
