Buying RAM for new imac, any advise

Hi All,

Im buying a new 27 inch imac soon and I want to upgrade RAM to a total of 16GB.

I know what type of RAM is supported but is the something like a best manufacturer?
I would also like to know if rhere is something like a 16GB "matched" kit of mudules or can i just order a couple of singe modules?

Can't go wrong with OWC, especially when it comes to being clear about what system a particular RAM kit will work with. I got the 16GB kit from them.

Like the 50 (why cant people search?) other posts on ram upgrades... are you sure you even need more than 4? I bet you dont...

And dont get 16. Get 8.

Add the 8 to your 4 for 12.

12 gigs = $100
16 gigs = $200

$100 for an extra 4 gigs is a lot, especially when you dont need it.
