I currentlyhave a 9.7" iPad Pro generation 9. Use it mostly for web surfing, reading, watching videos and movies, etc. So pretty dated tech but I still still like it and find it meets most of my needs. Since I do most of my heavy lifting with Macs the iPad Pro prices has pretty much crushed any interest. So the release of the new Air caught my attention. I started reading the long thread on the new Air. I know that either the A14 in the new Air or the A12z in the 11" pro would more than meet my needs. Some folks were suggesting refurb iPad Pros. Questions: I looked on the Apple refurb store and they had no iPads listed. Where are good and safe places to purchase refurbished iPads? Are there places that will take trades?

And about the only feature that would have much significance to me between the 11" Pro and the new 10.9" Air is the 120hz Promotion display. Is that a significant advantage compared to the standard displays?

Check out the following sites

itsworthmore.com — usually the best value on trade, good customer service.
macofalltrades.com — used to be much better, still good.
cashforyourmac.com — will give you extra credit if you buy from them. The do sell refurbished products.

I’ve used all three over the years. Check all for prices. Very inconsistent. They can vary by a lot in what they will offer for a trade in. The last one allows you to input custom configurations, which is awesome. Can pay out more.

Edit to clarify -- I only traded my own products into those website. Never bought a refurbished mac from any of them.

To be honest, only refurb I trust is Apple certified.

I only trust this site when it comes to refurbished Apple purchases.
