I'm shopping for a new mac...I'm veering towards an iMac over a mini due to the video card, but that's based on paper knowledge. What I'm wondering is what real world experiences people've had.

As i understand it, the only real difference between the Mini and iMac (minus KVM) is the video card vs integrated chip. What's the real world use performance difference?

(My computer use:

I mainly do photo editing (Photoshop) but of late have been playing a with After Effects and dabbling with Daz Studio and plan to do more with that with the new machine.

I do video converting, but i often set up queues to let stuff like that process when I'm out or asleep.

I do some gaming, nothing cutting edge, but for example, I have Arkham City that I can kind of play on my current machines in a very small window, so I'd like to be able to that at full (full-ish) power.

Nothing I do is pro work, It's all hobby stuff.)

Thanks for the reply...but I'm not sure how this would be better than a new iMac or a new mini, nor does it tell me how folks with the mini find it works with things like games or After Effects of Photoshop or Daz Studio.
