Is it easy to transfer the remainder of the original apple warrenty to the new owner? What do I have to do - just register it under my name or what? Where do I have to go?
Do I need the original receipt?

This has been answered on the board, should have searched ;)... Just have the seller send the buyer (you) a copy of the original invoice/receipt.

Then you will have to mail apple the following...
a copy of the receipt and the serial number of the machine and the new owner's name.

I think this is only required with applecare, normal warranty you should not need this.

I tried but typing in "transfer warranty" gives me all this crap.

If I don't have the original receipt and am unable to obtain it...does that mean warranty means zippo? thus, theres no point to get extended care?

by the way, where do i have to freakin' call to get these types of questions answered! searching the discussions boards on the support site is USELESS cause everyone gives you a different answer.
