I was actually about to order a 14 Pro Max today and came across this review:

The phone was 5 hours old and he says others are having the same problem. Anyone out there know about this buzzing from the camera? Could be a one off, but if others are getting this I may hold off a bit - but if nobody else has heard of it maybe I’m being a bit too cautious.

He actually does not recommend the new phones which is very rare to me.

Anyway…

Yes, seeing lots of videos of this happening, seems to be linked to the 16.0.1 update that is available right after you get the phone so don’t update, wait for a fix.

I am a 16.0.1. updaters and have no issues. I think it might be hardware on those few that are having problems.

How can we be sure it is linked to 16.0.1? I installed 16.0.1 hours after getting my phone and have had no issues.

I just tested my iPhone 14 Pro (Deep Purple / 256GB) in Instagram, Snapchat and TikTok. Zero issues with the camera. iOS 16.0.1

Probably it's hardware defect in some batch/region.
