I noticed that when I move my MacBook Air when the fan is running, it makes a slight buzzing/grinding sound. Is this just air hitting the fan at a different angle or is it a bigger problem that needs to be fixed ASAP?

if it only does this when you're moving it, then it's possible that when you're picking it up and carrying it, you're warping the case (however slightly) and that something near the running fan is rubbing up against it. This is not uncommon with laptops, especially the aluminum MacBooks...they tend to be a bit "floppy." Then again, my old G4 tower will buzz if you push down on the top in just the right spot.

it's probably nothing major, but having said that, there have been some reports about MacBook Air fans:

Take a look at this pic:

The fan blades aren't shielded from above, and the bottom case is a little bit flexible (actually when you take it off you notice how thin and floppy it really is). So I think beatsme is correct.

If you're not paranoid about your warranty, you could open up the case carefully to see if there's anything in the way. If you do it carefully, they'd never know you'd been in there, even if you are super paranoid!

Once you remove the screw, the bottom just comes right off (i.e. there are no connectors or anything you have to worry about). It's pretty easy really.
