Yup, that's my view anyway. HTML5 is superior to Flash, and by Apple keeping Flash out of the picture for iPhones and iPads they are forcing big websites such as YouTube, CNN, etc to move from Flash to alternate formats avaliable from special apps (ala YouTube) or provide integrated video players that stream in a way Safari likes (ala BBC iPlayer) or they code HTML5 video players (ala a bunch of popular sites recently).

It won't be long before all the browsers support HTML5 properly, and a lot of sites will start to provide HTML5 players for such browsers, leaving Flash only as something used by old computers not on the latest versions of the software.
 
I am okay with them not including flash. Any time I try to view flash sites or videos on my iMac or MacBook the system slows noticeably. I don't play flash games on sites so I don't miss it one bit.
