Good Evening/morning everybody...

First time here, first thread, first (but not last) question...

I want to replace my old Nvidia 8800GT of my 1st generation MacPro.
The reasons are..
1) The temperature 85-96 degrees!!!!!
2) Motion 5,,,although i have 8gb installed (more Ram coming soon), the Rendering machine of the Application is not as fast as (i suppose) it should be... (you can hear the Vga fan spinning like a Rocket)!!!
So i decided to buy the ATI HD5770 for my MacPro:eek:

And here are my questions...is the card silent? I replaced the X1900xt because it was very noisy, and got the 8800Gt ...
what about the temperatures...i need a Vga not a boiler...:(
And of course...the motherboard of Macpro uses a pci-e version 1.1 and not a 2.0 that the card supports.!! is it ok or will there be a problem???

that's all
thanks in advance for your answers...your help is much appreciated
P.S Excuse my poor English.

The 5770 is a quiet card, but that is relative. It idles at about 50 degrees Celsius(122 fahrenheit) but it can reach 70-100+ (158-212+ Fahrenheit) under full load.
