C&C Generals is slow on my intel

Hey everyone, so I installed my copy of Command and Conquer on my intel iMac 20", but the game lags big time, almost as bad as when I tried it on my PowerBook G4, is this cause Rosetta can't handle it? The game is a PPC game.

Its running in Rosetta, so it will be slower than a UB version or on a mac running the PPC architecture

Indeed. Rosetta has horrible performance. Although you don't notice it on simple apps, you certainly will in games or resource intensive apps like the Adobe Suite or other creative design apps.
