Finally I have arrived.....
I noticed my 15" MPB (C2D) makes louder noise when taking in DVD disks (or any optical disk) and ejecting DVD disks. My PBs and iBook do not make this type of noise during those in-and-out processes. The noise is only when DVD disks are putting in and being ejected. It is as quiet as my other Macs when it is reading DVD disks. Is your MBP (C2D) making louder noises?

Edit: I am referring to any optical disk (DVD movie, DVD software, CD RW, CD, and what-not). Noise is only when you put in the disk and taking out the disk. Any optical drive makes noise; but, compared to my PBs, this MBP seems to make louder noise.
