This is unreal, I was typing last night and the right shift key popped off. I believe all the little pieces are still there (2 white plastic pieces and the metal bar).

Does anyone know if the metal bar under the key is supposed to tuck into the two holes designated for it on the actual computer layout?

Any info appreciated... Talk about lack of quality control.

None of my keys have fallen off yet, but I have a major problem with the quality of these keyboards. I returned my MBP this past weekend because the keys are not level and I was (and still am) afraid of doing damage to my screen. I say "still am" because even the replacement (new) MBP has keyboard issues.

In general, if I weren't so Mac-ingrained (since 1984), I would buy one of the top of the line HPs. My father just bought one and it's so much nicer than the MBP.

You've got some information here. If it keeps falling out, slightly bend inwards the metal tabs from the side, like that they'll hold better the white plastic mechanism.
