Was wondering that with the new C2D processors, game performance might see a significant increase from 1gb to 2gb to 3gbs of ram, and whether the old equally-sized-two-ram-chips "rule" still applied, particularly to graphics performance.

You won't see a performance benefit in games from using matched pairs because the gpu is not integrated on the MBPs. Of course more ram is always better but going from 2gb to 3gb won't make much difference in games unless you are heavily multitasking.

Aha, okey doke. Maybe I'll get an extra 512mb module then, they cost about £60.

Would you say the improvements from 1gb to 1.5gb are noticable/worth it?
