Cable Internet Through USB

Is it possible for my iMac G3 to receive high speed internet through its USB port? My modem comes with the cable... and since my ethernet port is all jacked up, I either repair it (which I won't do, I rather sell the comp. ), or use the usb cable.

Yes, it's definitely possible, but you will need to install the relevant driver onto your iMac. What make and model is the USB modem?
