Hi Guys,
was looking into the specs of newly released Penryn macbook and Pros and it looks except for models 2.5 and 2.6 Ghz others come with 3 MB cache whereas Santa Rosa Macs had 4 MB cache? will it going to make some difference?

The Merom processors had 2-4mb cache sizes. The Pro's all used 4mb chips.

The Penryn processors use 3-6mb caches. Only difference is that they are starting with a 3mb chip instead of a 6mb chip. Don't know if we have any benchmarks of these yet but I suspect if you find some of the old chips and compare the 2mb to 4mb you can see what difference there would be.
