Hi,

I would like to install a second identical card on my 5.1 Mac pro.
Will there be a conflict ?

Thanks for your advice.

On my 2009 Mac Pro I tried installing 2 Caldigit USB 3.0/eSATA combo under Snow Leopard and worked fine. I think as long as the card are from the same manufacturer/brand should work fine. Though I could not comment if this setup works fine in Mountain Lion or Mavericks as I have not tried this. Before I also tried having a Highpoint RocketU 4 port USB 3.0 and a Newertech MAX USB 3.0/eSATA combo and there was a problem like a driver conflict. The Newertech could not be detected. When I removed the RocketU driver, the Newertech USB 3.0 was then working fine. This happened Snow Leopard.

Got the card Yesterday, works like a charm.

Have two Maxpower eStata 6G PCI-e 2.0. Will give them out
as two identical cards would not work in my Mac.

And also a Newer Technology 4 port eSATA 6G PCIe 2.0 Raid
card that I have no use for now.

Why ? Where I live there is no market or easy access to ebay
and what not.

Tks

Congrats Dude! Can you try connecting other USB devices like keyboard, mouse, card reader etc to your Caldigit and see if they work fine? The Caldigit USB 3/eSata combo I'm using is an older model and only supports HD storage devices.

Yep, it works!

I have one card hooked up to a Trip-lite USB 3.0 hub
and mouse & keyboard will even work when connected
to the hub....

I got the old Caldigit FASTA-6GU3 and the new Caldigit FASTA-6GU3 Pro in my Mac Pro.

No issues at all.
