Has anyone a similar problem with the TS3+? I have my whole setup connected to a power strip and I turn it off when I don't need it. If I turn it back on, my MBP only gets 60watts from the TS3+... After restarting the MacBook I get 87 watts.

Is this an issue with my macbook or with the TS3+ dock?

Do you have a similar setup? Do you disconnect the dock from the power grid? If not is it possible you could test this out?

Just put your Mac into sleep and disconnect the dock from the power grid, when you turn it back on, check in the system profile if you get 60 or 87 watts. That would extremely helpful!

I regularly disconnect it from the power grid when not using the machine for a longer time. It always shows full wattage and as I said I can draw up to 90 Watts without seeing battery discharge.

Just powered up the dock after the MacBook was attached to it overnight in sleep and took a screenshot for you.

But it sounds strange it sometimes works for you and sometimes not. With a faulty unit it would be more likely to not work at all. To me this sounds more like a software bug. Do you have the latest firmware on your dock? I am running the latest firmware and macOS 12.2 Beta 2 at the moment.

I really don't understand what the problem is, now I can't even get 87 watts after restarting my machine... It just stays on 60, yesterday I was able to get 87 after restarting my macbook.

I have firmware 44.1.

Are you using the original cables? I get 87W consistently with the same dock. Are you plugged into the laptop port?
