Have a new MB Pro M2MAX & the CalDigit Ts4
My monitors are two ASUS VZ239H monitors, whose ONLY output/connection is HDMI to DP
When I connect one of them into the TS4 DP port, I got nothing. CalDigit says it's likely
not an "active" cable. My 2nd monitor (as noted) is the same, and I want to connect to one the TB ports on the back.

Cal Digit sent me Amazon links to the following - but obviously this doesn't work - as I'm going from HDMI to DP on the "connecting" end
to the TS4 now. Please help on this one as CalDigit isn't providing an option. Have to believe there's a converter
for this, to "active" for at least the one HDMI to DP then to the TS4 & similar for the other HDMI to DP that converts to TB ?

Can't imagine needing newer/more $ monitors as I'm not doing any photo or graphics work on the Mac (yet)

For what I understand: Your monitors offer only 1 VGA and 1 HDMI input, correct? (That’s what I found on the ASUS website)

Now, as the CD TS4 does not have any HDMI output, you will definitely need adapters to connect your monitors either to the DP or TB ports on the TS4. If that need to be special adapters (active?) I cannot say, in here you may need to “trust” either CalDigit or a user who is using a similar connection concept.

Did you try to connect you monitors directly to your MacBook, either with HDMI or TB? Does that work?

This DisplayPort to HDMI adapter will work: Active DisplayPort 1.2 to HDMI 2.0 Adapter – CalDigit US Shop
For the 2nd display you need a USB-C to HDMI adapter, and nearly any will work.
