Calendar alert issue

Ok does anyone else have this issue or can you check your settings?

This is starting to do my head in I have been looking at this all day. In Settings > Notifications > Calendar > Sounds I have the sound Chord selected. However when I get a calendar alert for a calendar entry it plays the sound Ascending. No matter what I change the sound to in notification settings I still get Ascending.

I’m using an iPhone 12 Pro Max. I’m wife has a 2nd gen iPhone SE and hers behaves correctly.

iPhone 8 here working properly.

I guess you've tried restarting the iPhone.

Notification problems for me (on two different iOS devices) were never fixed until I did a restore as new and did NOT restore from a backup. Presumably, the backup carried with it whatever corruption was causing the issue.

Ditto restore as new steps. Had this happen to me a few years ago and a fresh start was the fix.
