I can't for the life of me figure out why I have to click on a date, or an arrow, to change pages. I love the daytimer layout of the calendar app, it's a great organizer paradigm.

But why can't I turn the pages, like in iBooks?

I completely agree! I find myself constantly trying to flip the page like in iBook since it just feels natural. Seems like a "no brainer" that will hopefully be changed in a future OS update!

this is due, from what i have read, to the fact that only a select few developers got the knowledge that the ipad was even coming. This caused the lack of other apps (clock, stocks and all that jazz) as well as the lack of simple things like flipping calendar pages or even that fact that when you touch a date there is no highlighting of any sort to create an event on that date.

To kinda clear up that last statement, and this is what makes me the most annoyed, when you are making a new event in month view you tap the day that you want to create it on and then click on the +. Only thing is when you click the day, there is no visual that you have that day selected.
