Hi there,
of course I got another MacOS problem (honestly this has been the worst release ever for me ...). This time the calendar app suddenly does not display some events. I have my account synced over iCloud and all other devices show those events perfectly fine. And the Mac did as well the other day or even hours before but then nothing is there without any input. The only solution is to deactivate and reactivate my iCloud account in preferences. It does not seem to matter which of my "sub-calendars" are showing or not showing and as there are important events happening this is extremely frustrating. The only thing I noticed is, that it happened to events that "reoccur" on a weekly basis - maybe there is something broken? I can't trust my Mac anymore that every appointment is showing and I have to double check if my iPhone does display an event. I had this issue before 12.4 but now it seems to happen more frequently.

I have to say that Apple software has been a complete disaster in recent month and years for me and I feel just like the time I switched from Windows to Mac 13 years ago ... but the other way around. Rant off.

If someone has an idea that does not completely destroy my iCloud syncing, I would be grateful.

Just happened to me yesterday. iCloud.com and my iPhone show all the events, but *some* events in *one* calendar are missing from macOS Calendar app. Manually refreshing has not worked, and disabling and reenabling the account has not helped (i.e., unchecking the calendar sync box in iCloud preferences). Do I have to sign out of iCloud entirely on this Mac? Not gonna do that PITA. I'd rather just move my business to a different service.

Even if I fix it, it's too late for me to trust iCloud again. Calendering is critical to my work and life and it *must* just work, 100%. I can take bugs in other things, but not something this simple and basic.

For me it was enough to uncheck and reenable the icloud syncing in the Calendar app. But it really sucks. At least it did not happen in the last 4 days or so.

I got it fixed by restoring an archive of calendars on iCloud.com. (A technical fix, but not an emotional one—I will still think seriously about migrating away from iCloud as I just can't tolerate any hiccups on specifically my calendars.)

At the bottom of the Settings page on iCloud.com, in the Advanced section, "Restore Calendars." Looks like mine archives every night at 6:59 pm. Since the canonical iCloud server version of my calendars was correct, it was safe to restore.

To test, I deleted an event and then restored everything from the archive. The restore took about a minute and then the deleted event was back right away on iCloud.com. Curiously, it took about two hours for that deleted event to reappear on my Mac (meanwhile I thought the procedure failed), but when it did everything else that was missing showed up also. My iPhone, however, (which didn't have any issues throughout all of this), still doesn't have the deleted event back, so we'll see...

Throughout all of this only one of several shared calendars was affected, whether I owned the calendar or was subscribed to someone else's.
