Calendar App that DOESN'T sync?

Hello.


I'm looking for an iPhone calendar app that does not sync with iCal or Google calendar, or at least has a setting in which i can disable it.

I'm trying to have a calendar on my iPhone thats strictly work related and stand alone.

Just wasted 2$ on miCal.

Anyone care to help me on this one?

If you use MobileMe (or Gmail, or probably most email clients) then you can disable Calendar syncing in the iPhone settings.

If you are trying to stop it from syncing from iTunes to a calendar on the computer you can change it to not sync in the Info tab when your iPhone is plugged into your computer.

Oh I see, your looking for another calendar app so you can have two calendars on the iPhone. Well I'm not sure about this, I just always use the native app. One idea, maybe you don't want to do this, is to just make another calendar in the native app. Then when you sync in iTunes (I don't know how Gmail works) you can choose either sync all calendars or sync selected calendars. Choose selected and just uncheck the one you want for work.

Still this may not be what your looking for but that's what I thought of.

do you realize that you can have several calendars in the native app? You can turn on and off which ones you want to display, or you can have all display. I think that is what most do for personal and work calendars.

I don't know why you'd want a stand alone calendar, I mean if you're iPhone crashes, and the crash bug has been saved in your iTunes back up (all this has happened to me), then you'll lose ALL your calendar data in restoring the iPhone to factory settings.

Both [app]Pocket Informant[/app] and [app]SaiSuke[/app] sync to the iPhone Native calendar and to Google calendar. You can choose which calendars to display in the apps, and exclude all iPhone calendars from displaying, you can even set up a new Google calendar account for stuff you want to keep separate if you've got stuff in your current Google calendar account that you'd rather not mix.

Anyways, to me stand alone simply sounds a bad idea based on my own experience. I didn't enjoy looking for all those pieces of paper with my schedules and then re-entering all my appointments again, so the second time it happened I was thrilled to find SaiSuke.
