This is a scenario I run into frequently, and I'm eager to learn how others handle this, or better yet, whether there's another calendar app (besides the integrated default Apple calendar application) that can do this:

I have separate calendars: one for personal (iCloud-sync'd) and another for work (CalDAV-sync'd). I have often run into the situation where I create an appt. on my personal calendar (e.g. a doctor's appt). Then, someone from work will invite me to a meeting and seeing my "apparent" availability they'll schedule the meeting during my doctor's appt on my personal calendar. Ugh. To get around this, I've gotten into the habit whereby when I create a personal appt, at least during biz hours, then I'll create a *second* calendar entry in my work calendar with a generic description like "BLOCK". That way, it inhibits people at work from attempting to schedule a meeting then (while also protecting my privacy and with a different description). Aside from the annoyance of manually creating two calendar entries, it becomes more tedious if I have to reschedule a personal appointment, because then not only do I have to change the date/time for the entry on my personal calendar, then I have to do the same thing again for the "associated" entry on my work calendar.

I'd really like the capability to create multiple calendar entries at once (on separate calendars with different descriptions), or at least provide a way that after creating a 2nd (or more) on alternate calendars, then somehow "link" them to the original, personal one such that if I change it, then the other one(s) also move automagically.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!
