When is Apple going to upgrade or revamp the calendar app? It's been the same for so many years and it's just plain. The UI sucks the icons have been the same since iOS6.
When are they going to come up with better-looking icons for the phones?

August 7, 2024. And you can quote me on that!

Let me put that in my calendar.

I'm ok with the app's look. More concerned about function aspects. Want to add/edit more than two alerts (can do that in 3rd party apps and Calendar on MacOS). This has been an "issue" for 14 years now.

And merge Reminders back into Calendars again (hate that need to hop between apps when using Apple stock apps vs 3rd party apps that combine them).

But this is the Apple way: provide an app that provides minimal functionality and let third parties develop more functional apps, whether using Apple APIs or doing the whole thing themselves.

The calendar app is fine for many/ most, but for those who want more, get Fantastical or one of the other more specialized apps.

at least different UI it looks so plain. At least pencil action on the iPad.
Not sure how you want it to look "fancier" but to me the white background with the information to the fore works for me. On my phone its set to show the month top half with dots showing days where there are entries and these show in the bottom half when the day is selected. Its quick and easy to scroll around and i can found things quickly.
