Can someone please explain what I’m doing wrong here? I don’t remember having this problem prior to 17.5? I wanted this 12-18.00 appointment to stay on the widget and also the lock screen, until 18:00 which is what it's set to, 'ends'. but even before 12.30, as shown in second grab, it's already gone to 'no more events today'. I needed the reminder there all day. Awful memory.... Have I forgotten something, or has something changed since 17.5. I am sure in the past it's stayed there all day. Or have I imagined it. Thanks

Apple Cal app is terrible for all day events and timed events in that regard, hope iOS 18 fix that, Cal366 is much better app and widget shows correct all day events and timed events, could be an option till iOS 18.

Thank you. I'm sure it actually used to do that, but now I've tried this on iPad and iPhone 17.5 in several ways, and all led to same disappointing result.

Don't use the Widget, but guessing this is how it worked before 17.5.

Not a Widget, but have seen same behavior with CarPlay. Event will show on the CP screen, and when gets at/past the start time, drops off the CP screen, even though you are within the event's start and end times.

It's ridiculous that I can't remember, but I'm sure it would stay on there until the end time, yes. Must've done, or I'd have asked this many years ago. Ironically, that was supposed to remind me to do something, and I did forget, even after posting this question. It's pointless if the end time means nothing, and it just is up there for 10 or so minutes. I used to get the reminder the day before, as well, but that's lost now too.

Go to Settings > Notifications and scroll down to Calendar and Make sure all alerts are on and Banner Style is set at Persistent. This should keep the notices on till you click on em
