Any idea why the day text on my calendar icon is in black not red? On my iPad it’s red. On my wife’s phone it’s red but on her iPad it’s black. Is there some setting that changes this?

There is no setting to change the color. You can try deleting and then reinstalling the app, provided you didn't already try rebooting the iPad first.
Yea I didn't think there was, just wondered if there was some obscure accessibility setting or something I might have changed.

I've tried deleting and re-installing the app but it doesn't change it. It doesn't bother me just weird that 2 out of 4 devices in the house are like it.

I am surprised a reinstall didn't fix the problem.A lot of times it does. When you deleted the app, did you reboot the phone afterward? If you didn't, a lot of times a reinstall will end up with the same results.

I hadn’t tried restarting between the delete and reinstall. I’ve just tried it and it’s not changed. It’s strange. Cheers for your suggestions!

If you want to go the tedious route, you could try putting the phone in Recovery Mode and set up as new, which will probably fix the problem or wait for the next update which may shake the bug loose.

I think I might just wait for 14.7. I’ve only just wiped my phone and restored from iCloud on Wednesday to fix another issue and don’t fancy doing it again so soon. It was after this restore that the calendar icon changed so I guess something funny must have happened during that.

@Apple_Robert i got the answer. After the restore I had set the phone region to Japan to add my Suica travel card to the wallet and forgot to change it back to the UK. Seems like for some reason the Japanese region doesn’t have red on the calendar.

My wife (who’s Japanese) has her phone in English but iPad in Japanese.

Someone sent me this link.

Glad you were able to figure out the problem. I would have never thought to ask questions in that area to rule out a possibility. I will try to do so in the future. Thanks for the update.
