I reproduced this behavior several times yesterday. Here is what I am doing:
  1. Create a new appointment on my iPhone 6s Plus or my Mac. For the location, choose a map location. You will know that it is a map location because a mini map for the location will be displayed.
  2. Add my wife's iCloud email address as an invitee.
  3. On my iPhone, tap Add to save the appointment. On my Mac, click on Send.
This invitation will not show up on my wife's iPhone or on her Mac. I verified that both are signed in to iCloud and that her iCloud calendar is configured correctly.

If I create a new appointment as described above and omit the map location for the location, the invitation shows up as expected on my wife's devices.

If I update the appointment that does not have a map location and add a map location, my wife's devices do not get an update alert.

It appears that iCloud invitations and updates are not sent or received if the invitation or update contains a map location.

Is anyone else seeing this behavior?
