My calendar on my phone and my iPad is fine. However, on the cloud and on my MBP, the calendar is empty. I've tried toggling off in the calendar section of System Pref - iCloud, and then toggling back on and telling it to merge... still nothing.

I've backed up both phone and iPad to the cloud, so I cannot figure out why the calendar is still showing blank. I've created a new event on my phone, had it pop right up on my iPad, and yet even after refreshing the calendar on my Mac, nothing, and it doesn't appear on http://www.cloud.com either.

It's driving me nuts. Please help.

I have kind of the opposite problem. On iCloud.com and on my phone, my calendar is fine. On my MBP, everything in iCal is doubled! This is driving me crazy! Anyone know how to fix that one?

I had everything double on my phone when I first turned on iCloud.
I just turned if off and am gonna wait, cause I can't afford to have this crap happening with my calendar.

Don't really have a good solution, I guess. Other than to wait....

Calendars & iCloud

I too am having problems with my iCal (iMac), iPhone, iPad & iCloud calendars syncing. once in a while the iPad & iPhone will sync and duplicate some entries (but not all) But there is no syncing with my iCal or iCloud. Any ideas?
PS - what is MBP?
Thanks all

Is your MBP set to sync the iCloud calendar in Settings or in the iCal app?

I went into iCloud icon in settings and set it up there, then checked the new blue icon for Mail, Calendars and something else (not at home right now so can't check) to see if there was anything I needed to do there. Everything seems to be done correctly, but I'll check it again when I get home to see if I missed anything.

PS - what is MBP?
Thanks all

MacBook Pro.

Sorry, I've got no idea about the duplicate entries...

Happened to me, too. I just "de-synced" my Mac from iCloud, which erased everything, and synced it again and everything was back to normal.

Checked my settings and it is set to PUSH. Still not working.
I was thinking about de-syncing with the cloud but I get a warning that it will erase all my calendar events on my Mac. I don't want to loose all the information and hope my iPone or iPad will sync correctly with the cloud and sync back to my Mac. Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

I de-synced Mac too - several times. Doesn't hurt the iPad or iPhone any, which is odd, since they are the only places where my calendar items DO show up. But, still, nothing on my cloud calendar or my Mac calendar.

I expect I will spend several hours trying to conquer this issue tonight. It's like being out of balance in my back account by $1. I can live with it, but it drives me crazy until I figure it out!

More info:
I just ran a test and here are the results
Made a calendar entry on my iPad - it pushed it to the cloud then on to my Mac - but not my iPhone.
Made entry on Mac - it went no where
Made entry on iPhone - it went no where
Deleted entry on cloud - it went to iPad - no phone or Mac.

PS - I made a change in my address book on my Mac and it pushed it to the cloud and on out to my iPhone and iPad.
Try to figure this one out, ugh!!!!!!!

How do you de-sync? I'm not at my Mac right now so I can't look at the iCloud settings.

I actually don't care much about iCal on my actual Mac, I never enter calendar events directly on my Mac because I enter them in my iPhone when I'm on the go. So long as everything gets deleted from iCal and NOT from my phone, then my phone can just sync them back to my Mac then I'll be a happy camper. It seems odd that they are correct on my phone and on iCloud.com but not on in iCal, things that make you go hmmmm. Luckily, this is all just personal stuff and nothing catastrophic would happen if I lost anything, but it's still annoying and inconvenient. I'm thinking I probably did something wrong but since it's only the one place where they're all doubled I just don't know.

I think I know what my issue is... I think my Google calendar is still "in charge" for both my iPhone and my iPad. I'm going to have to figure out how to delegate my work calendar to iCloud rather than Google, and then I bet it will work.

I'm on GroupWise at work. Anyone have any ideas?

I figured my issue out. In iCal on my MBP, I just clicked the calendars button and unchecked the calendar subscriptions listed under iCloud, leaving the On My Mac ones checked. I now have only one copy of all my calendar events on my MBP! I think I think I might need to switch this, though, to showing the ones that are on iCloud so when I enter events on my phone they show up on my Mac. I really need to explore this whole iCloud thing a lot more before I start using it too much, I don't want to depend on it too much and end up screwing things up somehow. Anyway, one way or another, my problem is solved!

Yay!

For me, I don't think I'm going to be able to use the cloud for my calendar. Unfortunately, Google seems to be the only way I can link with my work GroupWise account. So, for now, until they come up with a way that works easily, I'll just use Google.

All other aspects of iCloud are working great.
