iPhone Calendar monthly with event widget?

Hi folks,

I am looking for a calendar app with a monthly widget view that is able to display events below the dates.
I've downloaded Google calendar, widget cal, fantastical, however these show the monthly view only without events.
Apple's own calendar doesn't have that option as well.

I was surprised to see WidgetCal mentioned in your list or it is another one. I though (also when looking at the App Store screenshot) they do display the events in the month view (previously only as a classic widget in the Notification Center but now also as homescreen widget with a full month and displaying events. I do see they changed to a yearly 9.99 euro subscription basis though
