My calendar isn’t working on my iPhone 5 after upgrading to iOS9. If I click on a specific date in the calendar nothing happens…I can’t see the event that’s schedule for that date. Anyone else having this problem and know how to fix it?

I thought the same thing. Then I realized you now need to click on the icon just to the left of the search icon to bring up a separate pane below the date. You can see your events there
Did a bit of testing now. Here's the difference I've found between pre-9.0 and 9.1 beta on my phone, and 9.0 release on my wife's phone (I skipped 9.0 release):
On 9.0, double taps on a date in the month overview will send you to the day view.
On pre-9.0 and on 9.1, a single tap on a date in the month overview will send you to the day view.
This is fairly inconsistent, and I rather hope that the double tap variant is either a bug or that it will go away(tm) later.
