Calendar notifications question

I have My calendar set for notifications. Does it only show the next days events? How does it show today's events or events more then one day? It seems to also show only 12 hours in advance. Is there a setting for this to show different items? I notce that the calendar has alerts also. Does that show up in the notifications even though they be even more then a day in advance. I am confused on this.

The notification center is supposed to alert you of upcoming events. It would make sense that it only shows you things that come up in the next 12/24 hours so you don't get inundated with too much information that you don't need to act on.

As for multi-day events, I guess you'll have to setup a fake one or something to see how it behaves.
