Calendar Sync 5.01 to wife 4.21 Conflict

I-Phone 4's:
Wife is on 4.21 due to some needed software not upgraded yet for ios5.
I just upgraded 4.21 to 5.01 and now have an issue.
I have always grabbed my calendar db once a month and copied it into her phone and bam, she had my calendar.
Now that Im in 5.01 and using icloud, I noticed my calendar db went from 1.4mb to 4mb. Once I replaced her calendar db with mine her phone went into a reboot loop. Once I went in and restored her older calendar db, her phone functioned normally, so clearly the ios 5.01 db caused the conflict with her 4.21.

Anyone examined the calendar code change is ios5 and determined the differences? Any good suggestion to replace her calendar with mine regularily for now? Clearly once I can get her on ios5 calendars can sync easily in the cloud.

We escape the platform/OS dependency trap with Google Calendars. Realtime syncing, and no issues with iOS4/5 - It's a set-it and forget-it solution. Might not work for you, but I thought I'd throw it out there

Its not irrelevant at all, if your wife updates to 5.0.1 the calendar issue will likely be resolved.

IMO I disagree as it is irrelevant what software is holding her back.
I stated in the original post that a software program is not compatible yet with ios5 and until it is, she cannot upgrade to ios5.
Which software program specifically that is holding her back has no bearing on this topic.

I do agree the topic becomes irrelevant once I can get get upgraded to ios5, but the point of this topic is for the interim.

Maybe contact whoever made the software and ask them to update to iOS 5.x?
Maybe there are other apps that do the same. Why is it so hard just to name the offending program so we all can avoid it?

Already did.

It is a paid for app with a paid subscription, so substitution is not an option for me. I have my reasons for not naming it.

It's difficult to go back to an older iOS if Apple stopped signing them, but that may be your only course of action till the wife's app is updated. That or switching to a different cloud based calendar app e.g. Google docs.
