I just set up a new iPhone and i'm having a problem with the calendar syncing.

First of all, the colors of all my calendars seem to be random on the iPhone - they don't match what I have set up on my computer.

But worse is the timing. Anything I add on the iPhone which then gets added to my computer shows up on m computer 3 hours earlier than the right time. And anything added from my computer to the iPhone shows up 3 hours late. Is this some sort of time zone issue? (even though both devices are set to do it automatically.

thanks for the help

I can't help with the colors, but i would say that the timing problem is time zone related. I would try setting the timezone manually and seeing if that clears it up. This is what I had to do with my macbook, iPhone, Mobileme setup.

re: the timing issue (which is by far the most important)

I checked in my iPhone - it was set to auto time zone, but when I said manual it defaulted to Cupertino, and it didnt fix the problem.

Any way to reset just the calendar portion and try again? Or do I need to reset the phone (and will that lose application info?)

Set the timezone manually on the phone and the computer, and then go into your calendar appointments and make sure they are set to the same time zone as well.
