iPhone SE (2016) Calendar sync

I would like to sync my work phone calendar with my personal phone that I have my Apple Watch connected to.
Both phones are iPhones, iCloud is signed in and the calendar is turned on in iCloud on both phones but I still can see my schedule in the calendar on my personal phone. I get iMessages on both phones just fine but I’m not sure what else to do about the calendars.

Do you have a separate work iCloud account on your work iPhone? If so, maybe you need to find a way to “share” or “subscribe” work calendar feed to your personal iCloud account.
Gmail supports delegate calendar that another person can view or manage. Not sure if iCloud calendar support this.
