So, I replaced my 1st gen iPhone with a 16 GB 3GS and used MobileMe to sync my contacts and calenders. That went perfectly. However, a day later, while in iTunes under "Info" I checked off the boxes to sync Contacts and Calender, which I didn't need to do because I have MobileMe already. Anyway, is there anywhere to delete the "On my iPhone" contacts and calenders. Is there a trick hidden on the iPhone or in iTunes to eliminate the contact/calender data base and get back to 100% MobileMe (it's a little annoying to have to different data bases on the phone). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

did you try unchecking the boxes?

Try to get it all deleted off the phone, but not on mobile me. Delete your mobile me account on the phone (or turn off syncing). Then re-add the mobile me account?

Thanks for helping. I have already unchecked the boxes, but basically whatever information that was put on the phone is sort of stuck. I know I can delete the contacts, but there really isn't any way to delete the calenders. Basically, I was wondering if anybody knew how to do a mass delete of contacts from the phone (no MobileMe - that stuff is sacred!)

As long as you have everything backed up and saved... Your easiest option is probably to restore the phone and re-sync everything. And remember don't check the boxes next time :)

How I solved it

So, I just deleted the account from the iPhone from the system settings. After I entered the information in for syncing with MobileMe, it asked me if I wanted to delete the current contacts and calenders on the phone. I guess it worked out. Thanks for the suggestion.
