I have an Eizo CS2730 that I bought back in late September to use in anticipation of a buying a new 27” iMac. I bought the iMac last month. I had to wait to purchase the iMac as the Eizo is $$$. I love the Eizo. Great colors and definitely worth the money.

Now I am in the process of calibrating it. Would like some advice and I am probably overthinking it. Do you use the manufacture’s software that comes with it (Eizo comes with ColorNavigator) or the software that comes with the calibrator? I have an i1 Display Pro. Also, once I calibrate the Eizo, should I calibrate my iMac so the screens match? I’m guessing if I do calibrate my iMac, I would use the i1 Display software.

Thanks for your help!

Definitely use Color Navigator to calibrate the Eizo. It’s part of what you are paying for. Use the i1 software to calibrate your iMac.

Re colour gamut, the Eizo covers the whole of Adobe RGB, whereas the iMac is limited to DCI P3.

Thanks @F-Train . How do I calibrate my iMac since it is DCI P3? What settings do I use in the i1 Display software?
