I'm getting ready for more serious photo work on my late 2012 iMac, and need to calibrate it properly.
1. Do you know of a good guide to screen calibration? Like step-by-step. I do not yet know which calibrator I will use (Spyder, ColorMunki etc).
I've always used sRGB in my cameras and in Aperture 3 on my previous mac (but shoot in RAW). I'm considering switching to Adobe RGB in cameras/Aperture/iMac because most people say this is better for printing high quality prints. I print some images and of course want these to be as accurate as possible. Of course I also want images shared on web to be as good/accurate as possible.
2. Does the iMac support aRGB at all?
3. Any downsides for me by switching from sRGB to aRGB?
4. Which settings should I use for brightness/contrast on the iMac screen?
5. When exporting from Aperture - which format should I choose if I'm gonna send to a proffesional lab for high quality prints? TIFF 16b, or is JPG good enough?
