Thought I start one, as we should be able to get gorgeous colors on these new IPS panels. So please post your display ID and also a calibrated profile that works for you. I'm picking up my Huey tomorrow and will share with what I get. Have fun guys :apple:

we're waiting ...

i'm keen to see how the color gamut compares to other displays before i splash out on the new 27" ...

... and to get a rough idea of the colour gamut, this only needs someone to (please) post the iMac color profile supplied by Apple for the 27" display ...

thx ... ragetty

Are you really going to spend $2,200+ for a computer and then rely on someone else with a calibrator to calibrate your screen?

bump ...

can some please post the standard imac 27" display profile so i can compare it with sRGB and AdobeRGB in the ColorSync utility (below is sRGB against Adobe RBG) - thx!!

nope - I hoping someone will simply upload/post the standard iMac 27" display profile ...

ok, i popped into the mac store here in Munich and had a look myself on the new iMac ...

the overall colour gamut of the Apple iMac profile appears to be uniformly larger than sRGB by about 55% over all colours. this places it well for covering the red and blue in AdobeRBG, but doesn't come anywhere near covering the extended green in AdobeRGB.

still, there's enough gamut to make the iMac almost worth buying - and the external monitor function is another plus. the only question now remaining is how the actual measured colour profile differs from the standard Apple iMac profile ...
