Calibri gone from OS X with Office 2016

I recently did a fresh installing of OS X and never installed the Office:2011. The old Office:2011 installed Microsoft's default font, Calibri, in the system so it could be used by other programs (Pages, Textedit, etc). Just installing Office:2016 only allows you to use Calibri when using MS Word.

Is there any way to install the font without reinstalling Office 2011? What about installing Office:2011 in a VM of OS X? How would i get the font file from the VM and install it onto my primary OS X?

Copy Calibri fonts to ~Library/Fonts folder.

MS - for some unknown-to-me reason - embedded a multitude of fonts within the individual apps. I checked the applications' Resources during the betas. Some of the fonts supplied by MS are newer than the 2011 versions of those fonts, and some of the newer fonts contain new characters. The Calibri family has been updated, to version 6.01i.

MS also embedded a bunch of resources in each app that used to be in the former "Office" folder, which seems to be why the individual Office files put on so much weight...

One can copy/paste the newer fonts to the Fonts folder of your choice (the Library>Fonts or ~>Library>Fonts folders). Word 2016 seems to have the most fonts embedded, but I haven't performed a final check. Check the (Office) App>Contents>Resources>Fonts folder of each app and cherrypick the fonts you want to use elsewhere...
