Call of Duty: 4 & Connecting to different servers

Hi,

I'm just about to buy one of the new 2008 Apple Macbooks. There is a COD4 Mac version.

I know it's possible to play multiplayer online but I wondered if I can connect to a Xbox server.

I'm also a member of Xbox Live where I play COD4, can I use that account for COD4 on mac?

Is there anything similar?

Any help would be appreciated.

I am pretty sure they are seperate networks. COD 4 can play with the PC client (windows version) but not even the windows version plays with XBOX Live. that is a microsoft/console only system. It is free to play PC games online though so you dont need an account - unlike with consoles.

Also I dont think a Macbook will run COD4 so be sure and check the specs.
